IMO lifting is a minimal part of the whole picture......also, I guess I assume if you're asking what gear to take you know how to lift weights......regardless you can't teach form on an internet discussion board.....

I see a lot of guys who come on here and in their first ten posts ask about what cycles to do. Then when they get shot down they leave and I never see them post again. Ill admit i did ask some things at first which were noobish, but I learned and still post and learn more everday. Anyways on to to the real purpose of this post.

It bothers me to see some 16,17 year old come in here and say, "well, ive been lifting for 6 months now and haven't seen anygains, what should i take?" Some people say lok at your diet, look at ur training, but most of those guys i see at the gym who represent this do the following:

bench and curl 3 days a week with shitty form
do triceps and forearms the other 2 days with shitty form.

I was lucky enogh to get started lifting with my football coaches and they instructed me on good form and diet ( well mine wasn't the cleanest, but i ate like a mother) which i contribute to a lot of growth my first four years of lifting. I was 5'7 when I turned 14 and 155 pounds. By the time i graduated highschool just turning 18 i was 6'2 and 225 pounds. I have been dieting the last year becuase i put on another 20 pounds ( 245 ) and am now 6'3 and 210 around 15% bf. WHereas i was usually in the 20s minus the one time i wrestled.

I think the best advice for some of these guys is to find a big guy at the gym and get instruction on PROPER training, and form, and diet. All three are important. A lot of growing is done in HS naturally and taking these things can end up making you grow less in the long run.

Essentially the whole point of this post is i dont see a lot of people giving advice on FORM to new guys lifting, just diet and training program. Correct me if I'm wrong :D

btw ill try to dig up some old pics from the years for people who want to see long term progression. sophmore year when i wrestled was right after a growth spurt which i went from 5'8 to about 6'1 in one year. I got measured at 18% which was the lowest i ever was until now.

well through videos you can, but the whole point was to instruct new lifters to seek help on perfecting their form, because with that they will see better gains.

OK.....but this is an anabolic discussion board.....I understand what you're saying but it's the wrong place......post this on the training board and you'll get some good replies

diet man, its all about the diet. you can have shitty form, work only bi's tri's and chest...and you will grow with the right diet. on the other hand if your diet is off no matter how perfect everything else is you will not get far

I don't know...I don't think you can just pick one thing and perfect it and grow. I think it's obvious that it's a combination of all the things you do. If you do curls, kickbacks, and use the pec-deck everyday, you're probably not gonna grow much...unless you're eating a shitload, then you'll get fat.

I think when these people come onto the boards asking why they're not growin, the first thing they should be told to do is start doing deadlifts, squats, pull-ups, etc...and also get their diet in check. You start doing those two things, and you'll grow pretty fast. Put them into a good training program, with optimal volume, frequency, and intensity...and you'll be well on your way to your goals...no juice necessary.
