I am reading this article from last week in USA today, about all the cellulite creams on the market.
Did you know that American women spent 9.3 MILLION dollars last year on cellulite creams?
Quotes from this article:
The effectiveness of most of the ingredients used in the creams isn't backed by scientific evidence.
For years, women have been desperately searching for ways to get rid of this troublesome fat.
Oh, give me a BREAK.
For whom is this fat so "troublesome?" Nobody ever died from cellulite, and every woman has some. Even supermodel Tyra Banks, interviewed for another article in this same issue of USA Today (more on that one later) reports that she has cellulite and that it is airbrushed out of all her pictures.
The fact is that women have always had cellulite, and they always will have cellulite. Cellulite hurts no one. It was never even a "problem" until a few years ago, when advertisers and cosmetics moguls decided they could make a fast buck by turning it into one. Yet ANOTHER thing on women's bodies for them to be ashamed of and feel insecure about.
If you're a woman, you will have cellulite. Even some men have it!
We need to just accept human bodies they way they actually are, and give these cosmetic rip-offs the old heave-ho.
Assholes.
