How many people here grew up with an everlast bag?

My father bought me my first bag when I was 12 and it was the best gift I could have ever recieved.

I am curious to see if anyone else grew up toughening the hands, wrists, and forearms through this method of physical release...................................

I've got one now. Also one at the gym. I have tremendous punching power in both hands, being ambidextrous probably has something to do with it. I use to hit it until my knuckles bled. Now I always wear gloves and still get red knuckles from the hard punching. Being little dumbasses, we also use to hit boards to see if we could break them. Wasn't a bright idea.

That's solid man. I am ampidextrous as well although when I fight standing up I usually fight southpaw for some reason?.......

I hit wood now bc I don't live @ home where the bag still hangs. 2X4's are my bag now. My knuckles have hardened and grown in size since I started on the advice from a collegue of mine. Once you get past the pain and the blood the knuckles become rounded and sharp.

I got gloves, an 80 lb bag, and head gear for my 12th bday. We used to beat the shit outta each other in the front yard ED. I remember going balls out for like 1 minute then both being tired as hell and barely swinging.
