ever make your own beer

has anyone ever made there own alcohol , howd it come out

My brother and I have made beer, hard cider, and mead. Most of it comes out really well, a couple of the beers weren't great but we drank them anyway.

I know a guy who's trying to make his own REAL vodka, from potatos like the Russians make it. Not sure how he's doing on it; sounds difficult.

I made it a few years back it came out great. I made unfiltered wheat beer. I baught a kit off he internet and it made 5 gallons.

What proof does that come out to be? Is it just like normal beer?
