I had 3 packages ganked the week of Thanksgiving.
I live in an apartment building, so not exactly secure.
Most of the time, the post office will leave a note saying come pick this up, or UPS will try 3 times and then you have to go their facility to pick up the package.
Some couriers leave shit right outside the door in the hallway sometimes, if it doesn't have to be signed for.
This has worked okay for around 2 years. I come home for lunch break from work, so they ain't there for long, but got owned that week.
Luckily, the companies that shipped them had great customer service and are reshipping all for free.
I'm about to buy a PO Box just for online deliveries, they aren't expensive, but I haven't thought twice about it until now.
My theory is that T-day week all the kids were off school and roaming about, ganking shit. Some kid out there has 4 dress shirts, a black ski mask, and a variety of joke t-shirts (joke xmas gifts), one of which states "I Direct Midget Porn"
