Ever get struck by wanderlust?

Sometimes I find myself distracted with thoughts about just going some place at the last minute. No real destination in mind. Just go to the airport with one carry on bag, a pocket full of cash, and a "sell me a ticket to anywhere" kind of attitude.

Everyone I know is day dreaming about coming down here to Ft Lauderdale.. well, here I am and thinking about some place else.

Got a travel itch that needs a'scratching.

Not since becoming a family man. Kids really have changed how I look at things.

Do it. Just grab the cash and your passport, pack light...and go.

I've never regretted a vacation.

I guess that is why I worked in Africa and all over SE Asia.

However, I really gave up a lot of that pure adventure ideas after reading "Into thin Air" and "Into the Wild". Good stuff. Krakaur is my favorite writer.

Into Thin Air - is that book about climbing Everest

Into the Wild - is the movie that was just out about the kid who roamed the US and moved to the Alaska wilderness. The book was great because Krakaur also compared it to his own wanderlust adventures. Outstanding.

Yep, that's why we got the itty-bitty trailer. Hook it up and haul ass to where ever with minimal aggravation (flying off to strange destinations is tough when you have a lot of food allergies ...)
