this girl Im dating jokes around with me that Im girly because I tan,wear a pink shirt,and what she calls a frilly shirt.

but I honestly put little thought into it,sure I like to look nice,but I can be showered,shaved,and dressed in under 10mins.

Im sure some of you guys have been told this before, how did ya respond

It really depends on who is saying it. If it's the second time I've met a girl, I might say something like "so does this mean we're not fucking later?" Maybe totally blow them off, or make fun of them...borderline asshole stuff.

Another response: "You're right...maybe I should just go pick up an Abercrombie shirt, old navy jeans, doc marten or steve madden shoes and look like every other retard out there."

If it's someone I actually care about, like a friend or something, I explain that's it's a hobby, just like anything else. Sure I like to look good, but fashion in and of itself is an art. You don't ask an author why he carries around a notebook and voice recorder. You don't ask an artist why he carries around a sketchpad, etc.

So basically, I say any number of things Depends on my mood, and my intentions with the person saying it.

Id say thats a good way to view it,I do care about her so Im not gonna be a dick,Ive just kinda ignored it,if it was someone I didnt give two shits about Id tell them to fuck themselves.

Some women can't handle a guy that puts some time and effort into his looks. Makes no sense to me, but that's women for you.

I was dating this little blonde cutie a few years back, and she had made some similar comments. When I asked her WTF, she just said:

"It's just weird to me when guys take THAT much care of themselves."

Needless to say she hit the road shortly after that

I guess some women like their guys "rough around the edges"

I say fine, go date the piece of crap that can't dress, has no style, and smells like a bag of shit. I won't lose sleep over it

that blew me away,Ive always been taught to look presentable all the time,I dont stress about it,its more natural to me now,but I guess thats what ya get when ya hang with classless people
