Evanescence - Fallen

MrMuscle said:
Just found it now, sitting and listening to it, track #2 is so far a favourite, very good.

"Bring Me to Life". Great song. "Going Under", the new single here, is my favorite. Normally I don't like this type of music, but I absolutely love this record. It's actually the first CD I've bought all year. :o

Evanescence will be touring Europe soon, MrMuscle - they don't have any dates in Norway listed yet, but they seem to be adding new tour dates almost daily: http://www.pollstar.com/tour/searchall.pl?By=Artist&Content=evanescence&go_green.x=15&go_green.y=17

Yeah I is growing on me. Its not exactly the kinda music i listen to. I thought it would be more lik P.O.D or System of a down. Not my cup of tea. But the female voice does something for me.

I'll go if you come to norway and see them with me :)

Yeah i have seen her, she is amazing.
Im listening to "Going under now". i can see what you find great about it. I usually have to listen to albums a couple of times before they really sink in.

she looks good on videos, but she dresses like the cheshire cat in person. i saw her coming back home from tenn a couple months ago. they were playing in a bar.

They're from my home state. :)

Wouldn't think a group like that would come out of Arkansas, would ya? :D

Amy Lee - Vocals
Ben Moody - Lead Guitar
John LeCompt - Guitar
Rocky Gray - Drums

evanescence (ev'e-nes'ens ): a dissipation or disappearance like vapor

Although the band's name may suggest a sudden vanishing, the music of Evanescence is poised for longevity. Fallen, the Wind-up Records debut of this talented quartet from Little Rock, Arkansas, is an emotional, ethereal work of undeniable potency guided by the heavenly vocals of Amy Lee. (cont'd)

At any given time during the day, I can find "Bring Me to Life" playing on a radio station in Dallas. Thank you, Clear Channel!

Completely agree on "Going Under"...there is just desperation in that song. Oddly suits how I'm feeling now.

"Going Under"- is that the one that has the video when the singer looks at someone and they're face is all demonic, and then she looks back and they're normal again?

I think I saw/heard that for the first time last night.

I've had this CD for several months now and it's really one of the few that I can listen to completely without skipping a track. Pretty rare these days.

im sick of "wake me up inside" or whatever, but their other stuff is just as good

my last breathe is awesome, esp the beginning

My most listened to discovery since the first "VAST" CD. I love music with a gothic twist and songs with either string arrangements or Orchestra. This CD has both just like VAST does.
