pointy shoes are giegh, no matter the continent...
I really can't tell Americans and Europeans apart by their apparel.

Europeans don't wear speedos...Do we? At least not in Scandinavia.

Extreme pointy leather shoes, last time I saw that was on some american cowboy boots.

There is no a Euro look just like there is not one american look

Italians look different from germans who look different from french, english.....

Does a Californian fom San Francisco look like someone from Boston ?

The euro look as you say is more just a formal casual look. I have noticed that they wear leather shoes more often then not and dark clothing, ie dress slacks and button up shirts. The jeans are pretty much the same though saw many women with half tops/hip huggers the same aeropos look as here.

Americans in general dress pretty low on the formal meter, I did not see any people walking around in europe with those stupid T-shirts with the wolf howling at the moon or the best is the flamingo with the words Orlando printed on it... YES!!!!

I wear chinos and never once saw them there so I would have to say we look different. Neither is bad or good but one looks different from the other.

the classic euro trash look is pretty much only pimped by some eastern europeans and greek tourists these days. They rock the mullet, rats tail, gold hoop ear-rings, pixie boots, pointy plastic shoes and stonewash denim jackets.

LMAO...what about the shirt that says..."I'm with Stupid ------>" classic shit huh? I did see gypsies selling bart simpson shirts that said "cowabunga" when in italy 4 years ago.

you just described a rednek

trashy eastern europeans wear leather jackets with sweatpants and dress shoes,

other than that, europeans always have and will dress better than an american if thats how you wanna look at it.

ESPECIALLY women.

I saw a couple of AC slater looking dudes on the subway that were dressed the way i described but I think they were probably israelis.

some eastern euros dress differently, armenians like pointy shoes and tight pants, russian chicks are into hooker-chic, stripey black/white tights and the kind of big buckled short skirts that havent been in fashion since toni basil's 'Mickey' video. All bad eastern european clothing comes from turkey (aksaray in istanbul to be precise :p) which is suprising as the turks dress pretty well.

germans just dress badly full stop.

french, italian, british (excluding our 'chav' eminem-wannabe look which is popular with kids under 21) usually dress better than the average midwesterner, true.

Ugh, I was in Germany this summer and the Eminem-wannabe look was finally starting to fade. Damn MTV for making Europeans think that Hiphop clothing is cool.

I'd disagree on the Germans though, The German women I know dress very well.

there is always those people who dress well and the ones who dont

generally speaking, europeans dress better.

hey europe ain't no country, it's a continent guys!

don't clump 100s of countries into one whole entity you know, you simply just can't compare the italians, the scots, the ukranians, the germans, the greeks, the dutch, and so on....

although 'eurotrash' was'nt coined for nothing.....:qt:

I think a lot of trends start in various European countries and eventually make their way over to the US (and maybe vice-versa). For example, I remember going to Sweden in 97-98 (new years)...women were wearing ridiculously high platform-type boots and tight, very dark jeans. I bought some of that over there and wore it when I got back to the states, and my friends were like "what are you wearing!" Six months later, guess what was cool in the states?

Also, if you look at many major designers (Versace, Prada, Dolce&Gabbana, Burberry, Gucci, Chanel, etc) they're based out of mainly Paris, Rome and London, so trends are going to be apparent there first.
