To me..it seems as if Enya is saying " Worrying about shit is a waste becuase only time will tell what is to come"

But at the same time, the song seems to remind people of what a bleak situation they are in and that it is out of their control.

Enya doesn't seem all that smart to me. But she can do the chanting thing or whisper thing or whatever they call her singing. All of her songs sound exactly the same. Pretty good, but all the same.
