energy drinks?

what are yalls opinions on how they affect gains? are those five hour energy shots any better? what do you all use when you need some energy?
 
if I am out of my N0 explode or mri black powder, ill grab an energy drink no sugar no carbs and drink it up... no biggy... i see gains still -- had a fuckin dynamic workout today actually -- and had me a no sugar 1 carb no fear drink...
 
hmm i might have to check those out. but yeah i don't need them all the time, just on "those days" if you know what i mean. today was one of those days and i ended up just humpin ass to get it over with instead of actually concentrating on my lifts. it just makes me feel slightly cheated. thanks for the help guys.
 
Stims could raise cortisol levels hurting gains, use as little as possible.
 
I like Red Line. I think it is sugar free and low carb. That stuff will pump you.

No Fear sugar free. Drinking it right now. Pre-workout through i've been hitting up the lipoflame and loving it. High energy with no jitters or crash.

being a very high strung individual as it is i have finally eliminated caffeine from my diet for the most part.i have been taking 5- htp at night that helps with my anxiety during the following day via the serotonin boost.as most may already know 5- htp or l-tryptophan is the amino acid that your body uses to produce serotonin.i actually prefer 5-htp over the l-tryptophan as i feel it is more effective.l-tyrosine is the amino acid your body uses to produce the other two neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine.years of past recreational drug abuse have left me with an imbalance of these neurotransmitters.until recently i have only been using the 5-htp but in the past month i have started taking l-tyrosine at 1000 mg 3 times per day.it must be taken on an empty stomach and not eat for 30 minutes for it to be effective for what i am using it for.this can be difficult as i eat 5-6 meals per day.i take it first thing in the am then wait the 30 minute or i usually dump the contents of the capsules into mouth and let it absorb through the tongue,it has no real taste to it and melts quickly.this is better for me as when i awake i am hungry and do not like waiting 30 minutes to eat.the same goes for the second and third doses of the day.within three days of this protocol i noticed a significant difference in my overall mood and energy levels without any caffeine that has always gave me energy but aggravated my anxiety at the same time.in case you do not not know,norepinephrine regulates adrenaline,this is one of the reasons for the increase in energy levels and focus.if you have used or abused recreational drugs in the past or present and have gotten clean and still do not feel like you did in the past,you may want to give this a try!
 
I absolutely love the blue Monster energy drinks. I drink 1 or 2 a day. Not for any particular reason other than they taste fucking good and I don't like coffee.
