Email me for any problems you have!

I am a new member, so I just got your post from months ago. I do have a few questions for ya :chomp: first of all I suffer from osteo-arthritis, which gives me the most problem in my left knee which is bone on bone. I have been told I am a prime candidate for knee replacement. As I am a young 55 :mix: they do not want to do this surgery until I am older. I feel that at this point it becomes a quality of life issue as increasing pain has caused me to limit my activities. What info can you give me on this procedure? thanx in advance.

Total knees these days are not like they used to be. We have replaced knees and hips in people as young as 30. Granted you will most likely have to have it revised at least once in your lifetime, but if it is put in right, not for at least 15 years. The Drs I work for would not hesitate a second to relieve you of your pain. This is where you have to ask yourself is it worth it. We are even doing minimally invasive total knee replacements which are done through a incision 4 inches in length or shorter. I would bet you are a canidate for this unless you are on the overweight side.
