Does anyone else ever suffer from this? I have it for the second time and it has happened on both occasions when I reach new max lifts. It's really beginning to piss me off as I have to stop training or else my elbow swells up like a tennis ball. Last time I ended up draining it myself with a 25g (I know - not clever) but this time I stopped training as soon as it appeared and it is dying down on it's own.
I believe the correct term for this is olecranon bursitis, I went to the docs the first time and he said take ibuprofen and rest it but I'd like to know how I can prevent it happening in the first place.
It's the other elbow I have it in this time so it's not a reoccuring injury. Also, last time, it cleared almost immediately when I came off gear - it seems that it doesn't heal when I am on for some reason??
I haven't banged it, nor do I really lean on my elbows that much so I don't think it's down to any trauma except possibly reaching new max lifts.
Any input, tips or advice would be MUCH appreciated.
