Elbow Bursitis when On

Does anyone else ever suffer from this? I have it for the second time and it has happened on both occasions when I reach new max lifts. It's really beginning to piss me off as I have to stop training or else my elbow swells up like a tennis ball. Last time I ended up draining it myself with a 25g (I know - not clever) but this time I stopped training as soon as it appeared and it is dying down on it's own.

I believe the correct term for this is olecranon bursitis, I went to the docs the first time and he said take ibuprofen and rest it but I'd like to know how I can prevent it happening in the first place.

It's the other elbow I have it in this time so it's not a reoccuring injury. Also, last time, it cleared almost immediately when I came off gear - it seems that it doesn't heal when I am on for some reason??

I haven't banged it, nor do I really lean on my elbows that much so I don't think it's down to any trauma except possibly reaching new max lifts.

Any input, tips or advice would be MUCH appreciated.

I have the same problem in my left shoulder. Everytime I have used Deca it has seemed to help. Its odd tho because I thought that Deca only helped with joint lubrication, but for me it seems to alleviate the bursitis pain that I get once I start lifting 300+ on bench/military press.

If it swoles so much its time to go back to the doctor, no questions asked.
Use some deca as it has some antinflamatory effects.

Dont drain it, unless the doctor agrees to do so.

It's just the bursa swelling bro, that's all. I know I shouldn't have drained it on my own but I was going out and my big ass elbow was kinda ruining my look. lol How vain am I?! lol

The doc will just give me the same advice, only in extreme cases will they surgically remove the bursa. Don't worry, I don't intend doing that on my own!

I'm looking for advice on how to prevent it happening and see if anyone knows how to speed up recovery if it's related to AAS usage, which my doc doesn't know about.

I was on Deca when I did it the first time and it took forever to heal, deca increases water retntion so I think that contributed.

Can you describe it better? Is it a cyst? I clicking/popping? Is it painful when you move it? When did it start?
