egg whites

now tell me why alot of diets have egg whites for breakfast say 4 egg whites and oatmeal not much protein there 3 half grams per white.
 
Yeah. Egg whites aren't that great. I think they are just easy to fix and provide variety. They can't be fixed on the road, so people have them in the morning and evening. They are also a traditional breakfast food, which many people like.

I like to have 7 or 8 egg whites with a lot of fat free cheddar and green salsa for some good flavor. I can get as much as 40g of protein out of this, and it is a mix of egg white protein and casein from the cheese. Tastes better than meat, tofu or powder in the morning.
 
i can think of better things than egg whites at any time . my last show was 10 years ago for 4 weeks i ate 10 trays of egg whites a week i think thats why i can think of other things better . its hornted me for 10 years lol :alien:
 
For a long time eggs (whole eggs) have been the protein reference, ranked 100 for its BV

We now know that BV is not the more accurate method to classify protein efficiency (PDCAAs is better for instance)
 
I usually do 2 egg whites + 2 wholes with some fat free cheese... this gets you to like 25g of protein... throw in some oatmeal & cottage cheese and you're looking at a 40g P 40g C power breakfast!
