Effective Alcohol Replacement

I dont drink much. I cannot remember the last time I got trashed. Ive always went to the bars on GHB, or sober. Occasionally I will down a beer or two, but nothing excessive. Anyway, Ive been experimenting with an herb called "Kava". Im sure many of you have heard about it.

I went out and bought the standardized extract at a local vitamin store. It contains 250mg kavalactones per capsule. Recommended dosage is no more than 4 capsules/day. I researched the side effects of kava--nothing bad, even at high dosages. The welcome side effects are a calming feeling (used for anxiety), a "drunk" type feeling, although not as pronouced as being trashed!

Anyway, Ive taken 1-2 capsules before and got semi-relaxed at the bars. Well tonight I took 2 caps, waited 15 minutes, took 2 more caps, waiting till i got to the bars and took 2 more caps.

My "high" lasted all nite long (2.5 hours). I was perfectly confortable with being at the bars and had a great time.

I recommend kava for you guys that like to drink a lot, and for you guys that are looking for a safe alternative to alcohol. This is really fun stuff!

Good info. I have also used Kava with good results. I don't get a drunk feeling, but a more relaxed feeling with an increased socialization effect. Perfect for bars or clubs.

Yeah its great stuff. Ive felt so much better about myself when I stopped drinking.

Also, for those that do drink, kava greatly reduces your tolerance to alcohol. You get drunk much faster.

Well, LTerm sides include: Yellow skin, flaky skin. However, this is after months of HEAVY useage. Im not talking 6 caps a day, im talking 1 gram a day for a few months (6 caps yield about 300mg std. KAVA).

the only sides youll get is a relaxed, sociable feeling, which is welcome.

Yes, I believe so. Kava has been used to help people with alcohol problems, so im assuming it may help with 1,4 BD. I used to use GBL a lot, now I dont use as much anymore. I would rather use kava. I save my GBL for special occasions, interviews, trips, etc.

Hey Suspension, how much do you recommend daily? Mine are standardized and I think 275mgs. The high you were telling us about in the original post was it intense at all and was it comparable to being as good as GBL? Thanks bro.

My caps are 250mg, std. for 30% kava. So thats like 75mg. I recommend 4-6 caps before going out, although its going to vary from person to person. Start out with 2-3, see how you feel.

No, its not as good as GBL. However, it makes you feel pretty nice. Definetely a good replacement for either GHB or alcohol.

I hate the stuff when taken in dosages any more than whats needed for the mild sedative effect. It will make you feel good/very tipsy if you take a lot, but I get major migraines and nausea after the buzz goes away.

Suspension, I read that in a nutrition magazine, I think from the life extension foundation but I'm not positive, way back in like '93. Which is well before it became popular. Interesting, I did not think it's effects would be that noticeable that you could even think of replacing alcohol to any degree.

Just got some kava kava in concentrate and standardized liquid form from GNC. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm comparing to all the other crap I've tried like GHB/1,4 bdo soma solutions, flower power, GH neurosurge, enliven, rejoov/GBL renewtrient pills, verve, REM,(other assorted GBL stuff from las vegas), xanax, rohyponol, valium, klonopin, restoril, celexa, paxil, sonata, propranolol, other sleeping type pills I cant remember the names. POINT IS I"ve done it all.. so I'd really like to see how this works. Yeah I have anxiety sometimes, it's not so bad, but I'd like to feel more relaxed, calm, and focused. So far the only thing thats really worked well without any side affects, working out, swimming, surfing.
