That will be my name once Jorge Schpellvin makes me an admin.

Or maybe EF_Asswipe.

hansel, enough with this.

let's try to accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative.

you are solid, caramel nougat. remember that.

1) I'm glad Code is back
2) I'm glad Tiger is back
3) Tiger isn't a real user
4) Code is
5) Tiger is someone off the board.

But I don't think Tiger <-> Code

the end

I'm glad to see Code is using it properly as a comparison and not setting one to the other :)

Also, Code - if you are on a Mac - check out PithHelmet - it rules.

You got a mac????!!

tiger is one of a kind. He can not be duplicated, emulated or supinated.

PoyeBoy knows about running via a college roommate, and he does the funny spellilng thing - I could see him being Tiger.

And Code, yes, a new PowerBook - aluminum. I'm a Mac fag now.
Panther rules - I'm trying to figure out Xcode.

Pantha rox!

Debian, or FreeBSD?

I want to try something other than RedHat on one of my machines.

Desktop or server?

If server, then FreeBSD. If desktop - I have heard that the new FreeBSD makes a good desktop, but I have never used it for anything but a server.

I have never run Debian.

It will be a server, so I'm leaning towards FreeBSD. I'm dual booting my laptop right now. I had Red Hat 9.0 on it and just tried out the new Fedora offering, but am also thinking of doing something else on the laptop.

Debian is THE worst distro.
It's for people who like mkaing their own shit.

FreeBSD is *ok* as a desktop, it lacks a lot eye appeal.

If you want a *nix desktop go with RedHat or SuSe.

I heard Fedora wasn't so great.

I have lost interest in toying aroundn with stuff like I had and want to just focus on the software at this point. Otherwise I'd give it a look.

Yeah, I have a blend that works for me.
OpenBSD for a firewall. (running behind a Netscreen 110).
Desktop == MacOS X
Game Machine == Win XP
Work Laptop(for security audits and shit) ==
Dell Inspiron 8200 running SuSE.

Yeah, I'd concur. Seems like Red Hat lite right now.

Seems like it's gonna be FreeBSD for the server and SuSe for the laptop. I wanted to try a couple of different distros for the desktop. My penchance for distro experimentation is ending.

I've been having a bitch of a time getting ACPI working on my Toshiba laptop. Do you have that or APM working on the Dell?

I am keeping my XP laptop, and I have my Mac OS X (10.3.1) laptop.
All serious code is on a FreeBSD server in the States.

I will be writing code for both XP and OSX, and porting a bunch of stuff that doesn't exist yet for the OSX.

I have a long list of business ideas and at this point just don't have the free time for them.
But in order to get them done, the current setup I have is enough.

I played some lacrosse and hockey.

And I'm actually an emmaciated white man from the East Coast.

5'6"
175#s or so. Maybe 165 now.

Code's weight loss program is a little too intense for my tastes.

That said, I weigh about the same as him and I'm a little taller.

Code, we added a third server to the farm and we're beefing up the database server. More to come.
