Ok, it has been long overdue, here is the next interview. This interview took place via email between December 20th and December 23rd, 2004.
I've got another one lined up and will hopefully make this a more regular thing. Feel free to give me feedback, especially on the questions, if there are topics and questions you'd like to see addressed in future interviews, let me know.

How did you first find the Elite Fitness message boards?
I had just moved and I was doing a search for rollerblade/ inline skate racing to see if there were any teams or training areas close to me.
How did you come to be one of the "Elite Moderators?"
That was at the hands and mind of George.
How long had you been using EF before this happened?
I don’t recall anymore, a year maybe?
How old are you?
35
What part of the US do you live in?
Northeast, in the NY area.
Ever plan on moving out of NY?
Toyed with it in the past a few times (California, Paris, France and slight interest in Colorado) and if I ever come to find that the current situation of my life and potential status were reasonably stable enough to do it I would still consider it.
What do you do for a living?
Interior designer. I do a lot of kitchen, bath and media room renovations as well as furnishing houses from a single space to the entire house, cabinetry, upholstery, case goods, accessories, lighting and art.
Where do you see your career taking you 10 years from now?
More of the same but I’d like to be in a place where I can be very selective as to what kind of job I’d like to take on. So with that freedom I’d like to take that extra time to produce a furniture line I’ve been playing with for a few years.
Who are role models and sources for inspiration in your life and why?
I don’t know if I would call them role models but I like to follow the careers of designers’ Jennifer Post and Vincent Wolfe because I enjoy their style. I have found that for my work fabric and wallpaper textiles and paint colors will give me inspiration for the possible direction of a project. Nature can be a fantastic source; you can pull colors out of nature (outdoors) and foods and always put together a winner color scheme. As for my personal goals, I never could relate to the concept of role model. How tacky would it sound to just want to be a constantly improved upon version of your self, even where there are some surprise roadblocks to tend to?
What time do you get up during the week?
During the week I get up around 7am.
How about during the weekends?
On Sundays I might wake up by 8am
but I might stay in bed as late as 11 am. When I know I can sleep in I get
the most restful sleep and there's no checking the clock every few hours.
How do you fill your spare time, what are some of your hobbies?
I used to do a lot of writing, painting and photography but now reading, product research and EF seem to be the top three.
What are you reading now? What are some good books you've read
A Natural History of the Senses by Diane Ackerman (thanks Cheffy) and Oxymoronica by Mardy Grothe. Recently: Interior Design Practicum Exam Workbook, Once Upon a Time by Slim Aarons
Can you tell us a little something about your fitness routine or
I’ve worked out with weights on and off since I was 13, it’s something I’ve always enjoyed. I gravitate to a 3/1 day split, back and quads are my strongest areas while shoulders are the evil slackers. I’m not a body builder or power lifter but I have an appreciation for the sports. I was a professional figure skater for many years so I have natural interest in inline skating, which I use as cardio in spring, fall and parts of summer.
Have you ever used AAS?
No.
Have you met anyone from EF before?
Not yet, but there are some girls and guys I’d like to meet up with sometime.
What has stopped you up until this point? Certainly there are others in your area or who have visited NY.
Came close to meeting up with one person but we share similar scheduling habits, we’ll catch up eventually, I’m quite confident. Some of the ladies here and myself don’t live too terribly far from each other and I know there’s been talk of a get together and I’ll be sure to make it to one this spring.
How did you come up with the screen name "Velvett?"
A college nickname.
Can you elaborate?
It came from a college professor, apparently I was a pretty “smooth” talker and he was a naughty little professor. It just stuck from that class to all my classes and it’s been rising eyebrows and making people smile ever since.
How about mentioning some of your closest EF "friends" or favorite posters.
There are some fabulous people on EF and I hate to leave anyone out, I'd have to write a screen play on who and why (they all deserve praise) but I will say this: There is a fantastic bunch of women on this board right now that make me think of and miss all my girlie friends from college. Txcollegeguy was my first friend here we spoke often off the boards - what a heart and old soul. I’ve spoken to Big4life, Matttheskywalker, Cornholio the longest and Jimsbbc – we had some fantastic talks when our lives seemed most hopeless.
Anyone you just can't stand, won't read their posts anymore, or wish would just leave EF forever?
No. There were a few people here in 2001 that I will remember fondly as the skin thickeners. It’s just like real life, some people aren’t going to like you and you’re not going to like some people.
In what ways has EF changed since you first started posting here?
People have come and gone, the board has grown and changed with the addition of Platinum (both good and bad) the basic character types are still around but it seems to be that there are more woman here now which makes being a female on EF much easier and more desirable.
You seem to be one of the people who consistently is dishing out advice on the many relationship threads we are seeing these days, what is the current status of you love life?
I have a boyfriend who happens to be my best friend and I know I could rely on or for any possible situation and while we are well suited he won’t get married again which seems to bother me more than I tend to let on.
I'm assuming you have never been married yourself correct? Do you see this marriage issue becoming a make or break issue in the near future?
No, never married. It could very well yes, because in the big picture it is less about the act of marriage, which I care less about but more about being held as worthy of taking the chance.
Would you like to have children?
I’m completely undecided – no clock ticking here.
How did you meet the current boyfriend?
Work circles, I’ve known him for a long time.
How long have you been together?
Over a year.
Do you live together?
Together pretty much 24/7.
Where did you grow up?
NYC, Queens, LI, NY and for skating Spring Valley/ Suffern, NY.
Do you have a NY accent?
I think it’s pretty subtle; one would have to confirm that with those that have spoken to me. I know there are certain words that have a twang and when I’m ranting and raving about something and the New Yorker just presents her own voice loud and clear.
Any brothers or sisters?
I have a half-sister but I've never met her though.
Any plans on ever meeting her?
No. She was adopted and I don’t know if she knows or not. Even if she did I can’t predict how she would feel about meeting the “daughter her father choose to keep”. I think it would be selfish for me to seek her out to such a degree, so I’m happy to know she’s out there with her own husband, kids and family.
Tell us a story about your childhood, how about a teenage velvett story?
My parents were extremely strict and in retrospect, I am glad they were the way they were with me. In the 10th grade a boy that I liked very much asked me out and I told him I'd have to ask my parents. My parents tossed responsibility on telling me no back and forth to each other and when I finally begged for an answer my father just said "no". "First you go to the movies then you come home with gonorrhea" I was too embarrassed to tell the boy that my parents wouldn't allow me so I just blew him off. He hated me for the rest of high school until at graduation when I finally fessed up the truth. He said, “I wished you would have told me." and walked away. I still wish I’d had the capacity at the time to have had handled that differently.
What do you like most about yourself?
I know how to listen and understand what people really want, even when they don’t know how to express it.
What do you like least about yourself?
I can be stuborn and hot headed, which means I've gotten pretty good at apologies too.
We've seen pictures posted of you from time to time, what is your ethnic background?
Iranian and German.
Were you born in the US? How about your parents?
I was born in NY they came to the US in 1959/1960

Yes. I have a BFA in Interior Design

Reliable, funny, genuine, sensuous, an overall intelligent wise ass and all mine.
Describe your perfect kiss.
A quick short full lip to lip SMOOCH but what I really love are those first
few moments when lips meet, smooth, slightly cool and not yet moist with
their need to please and slow approach. Then their turn to be more curious
while inquisitive seeking their position, hungry to find that moist
sweetness, tender yet firm with the occasional nibble and tug. Eager lips to
please that are continuously explorative and playful that offers some

Tell me about a disastrous date you have been on.
Just one? I don’t remember too many details but my girlfriend was dating this guy and she tried to hook me up with one of his friends so we would all hang out more. We went to a bar/restaurant on 14th somewhere, I remember he ordered me a White Russian on the rocks, the walls were dark and the seating had red upholstery, the crowd loud and the air smoky (back when people smoked everywhere) and he was just so sleazy and creepy. He’d lean in close to talk to me and I couldn’t breathe with all the cologne he wore and smell of his menthol cigarette breath. When he started to tell me what he wanted to do me at “his place” my head started to spin (I was horrified). So I played along and excused myself to the ladies room to “freshen up”. I called my girlfriend and left through the kitchen into an alley off 13th street and walked (ran) home. And YES, I would do it again.
Do you prefer your men to shave their chests?
No. But at the same time it doesn’t matter to me if that is what he likes to do for himself.
How about "down below," any preference?
No real preference other than neatly trimmed.

I’d have to disagree, there’s no preset when encountering people with no class and they can come in from all sorts of cities, states, and continents – they just boast about different things.
Ever "experimented" with another woman?
Her name was Dina she owned a graphic company up the street and she wasn’t bi she was gay and had tried for some time to convince me to switch sides. I was on a date in the early 90’s, at a local dive called appropriately enough LIVE BAIT. My date excused him self to the men’s room and left me at the bait bar with a frozen drink of some sort while this tall, very long dark haired, blue-eyed woman came in and the entire bar came to a halt at her presence in the room, she was mesmerizing and we all stared. I had looked across the back of the dive towards the WC’s for my date but he wasn’t around. When I turned around she was inches from my face, she smiled took my wet glass from my hand and put in down on the bar. Within seconds her hand was at the nap of my neck and her soft lips met mine. I kissed her back but that was long before “bi-curious” was all the rage.
