if im selling an item, and someone bids on it, can i cancel that and take the item down, or do i have to sell it?

You can take it down as long as it's not sold and within seconds/minutes of ending (unless that has changed)...

Yes, you can cancel the auction. The old rule was you can cancel anytime except the last 12 hours. Don't ask me how to do it, it's been a long time and the look has changed.

Best advice: Find the a help search browser on ebay and type in "how to cancel auction".

Once a bid is in I don't think you can cancell the auction. Just get a buddy to put a false bid in...
