Man Ebay has saved me TONS of money, and i mean TONS from supplements to my motorcycle to car. You name it i bought it on ebay. And i have not had a single problem yet, well ok, 1 problem but it was a $8.00 item so screw it. Case and point, all my ski gear:

1.Polo RLX Double gore-tex ski jacket, retail $600.00, ebay=$200.

2.Polo RLX ski pants Gore tex, retail $350.00, ebay=$140.00

3. Atomic Beta carv 8.22 180 skis, local ski shop, $550.00, ebay= $220.00 shipped.

4. Tyrolia bindings in local shop, $350.00, Ebay=$140.00

Mind you all the gear was wrapped and brand new. Needless to say i love Ebay. Back i go for more crap, LOL!

Me bad experiences. I tried twice to sell my Roland GrooveBox, both times someone won the bid and never sent me an e-mail to confirm or whatever......

Last thing I bought on Ebay was a Gap leather jacket. Retails for $400, I payed $105. Nothing wrong with that. :)

There was one time I bought a couple of Hugo Boss dress shirts and customs cut the shit out of 'em when they decided to look inside the package. Fuckers...They did pay me back, however.
Other than that, no bad experiences.

I've been on eBay since '99. About 3.5 years now.

Worst I've ever been burnt was for $130 for 2 12" subs in a box back when you could sign up to be a seller without having to enter a credit card. Not too many other bad experiences.

Last year I sold an autographed basketball for $250. The bitch that bought it tried to say something like "I cant read the autographs". Well you dumbass, its people signing a spherical object they are holding in one hand. It's not a contract being signed on a table. Needless to say, I had delivered exactly what the item description said, and in most cases, I may have refunded the money even though I did everything right. But I needed that $250 and spent it as soon as I got it. It was worth the negative feedback.

Do baseball cards go good on that site? I have a lot of them and want to sell them.....I know there is some special rating system for the cards set by dealers.....but they are not rated. What are some other good things that move fairly well..in other words....what are the chances of not getting bids?

just bought vice city, 54.99 free shipping, checked five stores, to no avail, and went to ebay and found one in 5 mins.

Go spend $5 and get a Beckett baseball magazine monthly. This is THE UNOFFICIAL guide ALL decent dealers go by.

If a card is worth $10, consider yourself lucky to get $6 on eBay. Start most cards at $1. If its worth $20+ or is a hot rookie card, set a reserve, and LIST THE RESERVE IN THE ITEM DESCRIPTION.

Dont list bullshit, it'll just cost you money. No one wants Bo Jackson cards anymore, etc.

In fact, as a rule, try to only list $7+ cards, and if you have, say, a bunch of $1 Mark McGwire cards, list them as a lot of like 10 cards.

Cards sell well on eBay. The 'rating system' you spoke of is a new trend in sports card trading. You mail cards to a company who seals them into a special case, serial numbers the case, and gives the card a grade on a 1-10 scale (for example a card with a ding might get a 7.5 or something). The best companies grade on a 1-100 scale. I think "Gem Mint" is 95+, "Mint" is 90+, etc. It costs like $5-25 a card to have them graded depending on how many you send in. Not worth it unless you have a particularly old card or big rookie card.

I conquer with this thread. Been using ebay for a few years now. Just last night I bought a brand new, unopened Dell Dimension desktop P4 2.4g (retails for $999) for only $520 plus $50 shipping.

I guess that goes to prove that in real life, karma counts for something.
