**EASY** music editing software?

I didn't understand Goldwave at all.

All I'm looking to do is record like 30 seconds of a song and save it as a new MP3 file.

Anyone know what the absolute easiest program to do this is?

Cool edit pro. by syntrillium. or sonic foundry's soundforge.

you might havta crack those in order to get the mp3 save feature, or use audicatalyst to convert from wav to mp3 if you can't find a crack. ausiocatalyst is made from xing.

Okay, I recorded the clip I want. Now how do I create a new file with the clip I just recorded (ie; paste the sound into a new file)?

I'm editing around 15 songs.

All I'm trying to do is take a song and record like 30 seconds of it and then create a new file that only contains the 30 seconds that I recorded. Kind of like how CDNOW has those sample clips of songs? That's what I'm trying to do.

Any idea?

well once you've recorded you can just save what was recorded, no?

No, if I click save after I record it, it records the whole song MINUS what I just recorded. Pretty mean, eh?

I included that picture because I couldnt find a picture of a vicious dog or a burning flag
