Easiest way to open an Amp?

I totally busted the shit out of the top of the amp and cut my thumb. Is there an easy way to but open the amp. Or do you just grab it and snap it?

www.anabolicfitness.net/shop has an amp opener you can use. Or an easy way:

get a drill bit a bit larger in diameter than your amp. Drill a small hole in the bottom of your cabinet. Now when you are ready for some gear, just insert the top of the amp in your new hole and snap it off holding the bottom of the amp.

I forget who came up with this suggestion, not me, but figured I would at least relay the info.

Here is what I do...LOL

Take a butter knife or a set of keys. Smash neck of amp. All done.

Many amps break fine with no problems. The ones prone to fracture, cut fingers, and wasted gear are inadequately scored. Sticking the fracturing non-scored amps in a biro lid or other hole as mentioned above will not save your fingers or the gear if the amp fractures into shards.

Best bet is to sellotape the entire amp up to the neck and score slightly with a glass cutter. Then stick it in a hole or biro lid.
