E Machines

How good are they? Im shopping around for a new computer and I saw this one at walmart. It has 512 Ram...and alot of stuff(that i really dont know what u use it for) and its less than 600 bucks..
But there are compaqs and HPs also...I have never really heard about an E machine. Does anyone have one and how do u like it?

e machine has come along way in the past 5 years in terms of quality. If I were looking @ those three I would have to go by price for a buying decision.

if you're just using it for e-mail and web browsing, then you will be OK. other than that, they're not so good.


e-machines are usually cheaply made computers.

damn I remember my friend got on that one deal where they were giving away the computer for free after the rebate

that thing was such a piece of shit, it sounded like a fuckin tractor

get a dell, my friend just got one for under 400 bucks, but it was 256mg of ram but I dont think ud need any more than that unless your into graphic designs or somethin

Well I play games and do emails and stuff. I have had a HP and it was good. I was just considering an E machine because they were kinda cheaper than the other 2. My friend has a compaq and she loves hers..Thanks guys

I play spades in pogo.com and I loveeee poker. I used to go to Ultimate bet and play but the POS puter i have right now wont let me download it. Pogo takes up alot of my memory or something and being that this is a windows 95 puter, it cant handle all the graphics lol..I am just shopping for another puter.

Get it---Emachines are fine and are now made by Gateway... Many people think just because it is cheap it is crap...Not true. Good Luck.

You should be fine with what you do. My last computer was an E-machine. Only really used it for surfing, e-mail.

Check out theses refurbed emachines. My friend bought one from this site a year ago. He has had no software or hardware problems.

whoa your computer can't handle pong? lol

you should choose the cheapest one. if it only has 256 meg of ram that will plenty to play those games you listed. more ram will just makes things run a little quicker - less waiting


bring someone with you who knows computers when you goto purchase it as well. I went with my friend and his mother who was buying a computer and I think i saved her like 200 bucks of shit she was signing up for.....I just went down the list and told her i can get half that shit for free.
