Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below i bid on a jersey on e-bay 2 days ago, and i only bid once, and did not use that automatic proxy bidding. since then, another person has bid 3 times on the item and the price is now 66.00 and i'm still showing up as the highest bidder..i don't understand why. i e-mailed the seller so hopefully they will be able to explain it to me, but i really did want the item, but NOT for 66.00. anyone know what might be wrong? or who i should get in touch with? bidding ends in 2 days on the jersey.

Yes, you f'ed up on your bid amount 
If you bid $75 then your bid will continue to rise until someone bids over $75.
So...
If the jersey's bid was at $30 and you bid $60-you own the high bid at $31.
If someone comes and bids $35, you'll own the high bid at $36...the cycle repeats until someone bids over $60.
