I was looking at TIVO for a x-mas - looked around and long story short I found out that cablevision offer's a cable box with a DVR.

This is cool as.........

The DVR is worth it just for the rewinding mid-program feature.

Eggnog is cool, but Opie and Anthony had an eggnog drinking contest earlier today. Each contestant did a 2oz shot per minute until there was only one person left. The guy who won got it on the 35th shot, but wanted to keep going until he puked. Threw up at 70. 140 ounces of eggnog.

It's like a state of the art vcr but it's a hard drive.
You can record anything, pause, fast fwd and record from the dvr to a vhs if you really want.

Anyway - there's no purchase - $34 to install, you get a new box and remote and it's $9 buck a month for service.

yeah, i looked into getting a phone from them, but there were some drawbacks, like i couldn't accept reverse charges- i have two brothers in foster care and i need them to be able to call me.
I might get a phone line from them for my son though.

another draw back is that it's not a landline.

I have another line that I'm working on (BASTARDS) and maybe by 2005 I will have it running.

It's pretty good deal 34.95 national calls included.
call waiting, forwarding, blah blah included.
