Dumbell Hooks, Anyone Ever Use Em??

Ive been reading a lot about these Dumbell Hooks. They apparently connect to the dumbell handle via a leather velcro strap. At the end of the device are hooks which go around the straight bar in a Power Rack for example. The wieght simply dangles their until you are ready to lift them off. The hook stays in the position until the set is complete, you then simply rehook the dbl onto the bar. Several places have rated the straps to 200lb plus, so they are very durable.

Seems this could be the answer to a lot of problems people have when working at home. Especially when your partner cant make it one day and your on your own. They retail for around 45 bucks a pair.

shit get me a pair too. Anyone know any UK dealers that stock those things? they look ideal for my dodgy shoulders...

I have a set, they are indispensible for those that work out at home without a spotter.

I use them mostly for seater DB shoulder presses. Once I get over about 80 pounders, it's a lot easier to use the hooks that kill myself trying to throw them up there...

I got the 'deluxe' version with the velcro wraps. The original ones need to be pounded on a dumbell with a hammer, and are meant to be permanently attached.

Highly recommended.

Just look up Power Hooks on the web. The delux version looks much easier to use. Essentially you wrap a velcro leather strap around the hande....the other end is the hook part. Seems very easy to use. Ordered them yesterday. will be here today for shoulders tomorrow. One of the best concepts I have seen and long over due.

I love them! I have powerblocks, and they go on with no problems. You just have to work them in thru the side. Awesome helpers they are for the solo workouts. Have also used them with 120 lb hex Dbs, also no problemo here!
Good investment, and cheap, too.
Go for it.
