drug testing

The thread about blood testing in the millitary prompted me to ask this question. I work for a professional fire dept, and we can be random piss tested. Any ideas on wether AAS would show up on this test,or do you think they are looking for strictly street drugs, which I dont touch? I heard once that testing for AAS was quite costly. Is this true?

I beleive, that with Firefighter and police drug testing, it is only looking for street drugs.
Marijuana etc.
I could be wrong, but have a pretty good feeling about this.

Excellent. I suspected as much, but you guys put my mind at ease. My job is also the reason i could never do every day injections. Be kinda hard to explain why I got caught in the bathroom stickin a needle in my ass!

I don't understand...you can't do your injections at home?
Even as a fireman, where you're at the firehouse for 24, can't you do one maybe before your shift, and then immediately after your shift? Maybe it's not ideal, but certainly doable.

They only check for pot, cocaine, barbiturates, amphetamines, ext..

I'd hope you would keep the needle at home :worried:

Oh yeah....you probably have to spend the night at the station quite frequently. .....that would suck! Hope you got some weights there.

Does anybody in here ever known any law enforcement or firefighter that got stuck taking a test for roids?.....I don't....I have even known people that everybody had suspicion in and no test. The guy did get arrested though, then got fired for been arrested on a domestic violence charge.......put the bitch in the hospital!...charge got dropped, but he is lucky that he didn't get charged w/ aggravated battery (felony in FL)

We do have an excellent weight room. Its where I do most of my training. There are occasions when I am working ot or doing trade time that I am at the station for 2 or even 3 days straight. Not common though. Im sure I could get by with eod injections.

just ask the chief if he'll be testing ya for roids.......jk
nah they wont test for em...just thc, cocaine, opiates, benzos, and barb's....
i worked for a drug treatment facility....gear testing is way too much money to test for....
