Drug testing while on NYC or ECA.

I currently work for a company that have mandatory routine drug test. I am doing a cycle of NYC and ECA (two week rotation) and I was wondering if they show up on drug test. If so, what can I do about this? Does the pickle juice trick really work?

Some older drug tests would yield false positives for meth if you took ephedrine, but none of the ones I've had did. I took ECA, NYC, all the time when I was being tested weekly and it never showed up. If it does spark a false positive, just tell them you took ECA and they should be able to test specifically for it. I know ephedrine is banned for sale now, but I believe it's still legal to import and take for personal use so that shouldn't be a problem.

Hey Bro,

We can asnwer a few drug testing questions. Most places use the EMIT aka Immunoassy as the initial screen. It's cheap usually about $9. It is not conclusive by itself in court. The cutoffs are fairly high and it's a broad based screening tool that can lead to "false" positives. It is true that ephedrine can and will show up as a positive for amphetamines on an EMIT. After an intial EMIT tests positive than a GCMS (Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry) confirmation can be ran. It is more expensive but combined with the EMIT is conclusive and will hold up in court. The good thing is that if ephedrine shows up in the EMIT it will come back NEGATIVE using GCMS ! So you're okay there. If something does show up deny and have them confirm and/or retest using GCMS it will validate that you are not using illegal substances like amphetamines.

Also, keep in mind that drugs like ephedrine only have about 48-72 hour window at best. This is the case with alot of drugs with the exception being drugs like marijuana which is fat soluble and shows for a week to 10 days, sometimes longer depending on use and individual body chemistry

Here's what you can do if you are concerned. Go to someplace like Eckerd or CVS and spend a few bucks on their home drug testing kit. They are almost identical in accuracy to the labs emit and will tell you if you are testing positive. They do work. You can also call the manufacturer of the home test kit if you have specific questions about a substance and testing. There should be a help line phone number listed on the insert.

As far as beating a drug test. Pickle juice theory has been around along time and I wouldn't bank on it. You can go to a "head shop" and get their "detox" products. They are pricey but usually work just fine. Just follow the directions. It's not a bad idea to keep it on hand if you're gonna get popped randomly.

Of course the safest method would be to avoid anything that can show positive. Hope the info helps
