I quickly found out that Adminstrators could track Karma when I gave some bad karma to George Spellwin and he disabled my account. I apologized and said I was messing around and he fixed me up.

If you spend most of your time posting on the AS board, you don't accumulate much Karma. You guys are the Karma whores. So, I wouldn't equate a small amount of karma with a small amount of contribution.

i like the idea of karma, because, honestly it does show what members contribute, or are liked to a certain extent. i mean, maybe there are a few people who have more karma than you would expect, but generally, it does show a little bit on the quality of posts.

why not a system where bad karma is automatically signed? let's think of karma in real life, this multiple personality stuff would not be able to happen
