drinking on anti-biotics

I know the doc's say no, but is it really bad for you? or just not recommended?

Not recommended. Some of the antibiotics can be harmful, whuile others will lose their effectiveness. That being said, whenever I'm on any type of antibiotics, I will not drink until 72hrs after my final dose

can be very toxic, actually

some antibiotics are removed by the same liver enzyme that removes alcohol.

if you have both, then less of each gets removed. this is fine for alcohol, since you get drunk and stay drunk, but can bump blood levels of the antibiotic into toxic concentrations.

depending on the drug used, you can do anything from have a liver/skin reaction, to go deaf.

so, dont do it
