~ Dragon Princess ~ 16 week transformation

With the Guidance and Support of my two fabulous new training partners "Danny and Melissa Dettwiller" I will walk on stage for the first time at the NPC Texas Championships ~ July 14. I will continue to train for the NPC John Sherman Classic ~ October 28

Currently, I am just beginning my transformation and progress pics will be posted every 1-2 weeks.

There are a few more pics on myspace that were taken a few weeks ago.

i think you have a near perfect build already... unless you're like 5'2"... ;)

I am 5'1" 130 pounds. I have been stocky my entire life and only recently have I discovered what a great advantage it is to doing bodybuilding and figure.

Yes, it's true....I am just a newbie. I started working out the third week of November 2005 (some curls, sit ups, whatever). I read a lot of articles and eventually put together a "fair" diet and workout routine that I have followed from December through February. Very little training all March because of a sore Hip.

Today will be "Day 1" with my new training partners and I am very excited. My hips is okay for now....so, I expect to have a pretty good workout.


I better scram...gotta hit the gym soon.

You are looking great. Keep up the good work.
Hit up the womens board as mentioned. A lot of the ladies there are working hard too. They will help keep you motivated and you can help keep them motivated!

You are looking so freakin' beautiful! I have really big calves genetically, but am having a VERY hard time getting any definition in them to save my life. So, I really envy those calves of yours. I love the long, long hair, too. I'm trying to grow mine out like that.

Today, I weighed in and had my bodyfat taken (9 sites)

*taking DEEP breath* *wipe tears from my eyes*


height: 5'1"
weight:130
bodyfat: 26.16%


I am still freaking-out over this BF%

If thats you in the pictures there is no way thats what you bf is...for obvious reasons women have higher body fat then men...So really that wouldn't be all that bad anyhow. You look good dont worry.
 
Huh??? Have it done again by someone who knows what they are doing. That can not be correct.

Awww poor baby! Lol....You'll be ok; just use it as motivation. If by some chance those results are accurate, just imagine how much more potential you have. If you look this good at 26%, I can't even fathom how good you'll look when you drop some of it.

Very nice legs and calves are very nice, dark tanned and in shape, damn deff my type

You got some solid peeps in your corner girl! Love Melissa! Don't sweat the bodyfat thing, its just a datapoint that you track relative changes to -- also you might want to keep a log of all the individual pinch measurements as you get each BF measure done - that will not only give you the change in total BF over time, but also start to give you a picture of where you tend to hold more fat, more water ,etc. If you log the pinch measures relative to your diet on each of those days as well as your mood, what's going on in your life you can start to see patterns about thigns like where your body likes to hold water weight durign that time of the month, where you have less responsive muscles, if a really stressful day impacts your progress, etc. Its very interesting & a learning experience - you can also look back during your whole 16 week evolution and use what you 've learned from the previuos experience to give you more insight into how your progress is working or stallign out. So BF - its just another datapoint on your road to the stage. :)

Check us out on the women's board too - you can find lots of sympathetic ears about the horrors of bodyfat measure day, etc. :)

Danny (my training partner) wants to have me do a hydrostatic dunk. After doing some reading about bodyfat testing, it is the closest thing to accurate. I also learned that some ethnic groups have thicker epidermis layers that can throw the calipers off too. So, should the Hydro come back with the same reading as the calipers....then, there really is no arguing with the numbers.

I am totally over my little tantrum.... sort of :worried:


Nah, just kidding...
I really am over it! So long as I look GREAT I don't care what the number is.

Its better to go by how you look I got different BF readings from different trainers. I started to go get dunked also, but just decided to go mostly by how I look. I do think your right about the ethnic part.

As you Guys & Girlies know, I was totally freaking out about my bodyfat a few weeks ago. Well.....I got pinched and weighed again today (by the same person).

*DRUM ROLL PLEASE*

Current Stat: 129Lbs & 22% BF
In 3 weeks I lost 1Lb, 4% bodyfat, and my top two abs are trying to show.

I'll ask Melissa to takes some pics of me tomorrow.

Congrats! That means your diet is hitting the bodyfat & if you were holding on to any water, and retaining muscle! Congrats- looking forward to the pix!

most guys would kill for leg/calf development like yours...and no way ure bf % is 26% because you already look like a girl that works out alot...gotta be 20% or lower. And i agree with heath, you have gorgeous hair.
 
Thank You Everyone for Sending such supportive PM's and comments.

I want to let everyone know that I won't be doing the "Texas Championships in July". At the start of May, I got VERY SICK and the symptoms managed to linger on for more than four weeks. Even now (into june) my voice has not fully recovered and I am only now getting my workout groove back.

More than four weeks without weights and I nearly lost my mind...Its GREAT to be back again!

This thread can be officially closed and I'll start another when I begin cutting for the John Sherman Classic.
