Door Bell rings on its on...

Behemoth

Aberration
Platinum
I know this is lame. However, it is comparable to many of the threads I have seen tonight. My door bell is one of those without any wiring. My father in law installed it. It must operate off of some type of remote frequency.

Anyway, just at random times throughout the day or night it may ring. It just rang a few minutes ago.

Kind of freaked me out. I happened to be walking by the door when it sounded.

Fucking awesome!

Reminds me of the time we were watching the Exorcist. The girls begged me to scare them so finally I gave in and turned off all the lights. The phone rings, noone answers it and you can hear heavy breathing. I was even freaked out. I had my cell phone in my pocket and was accidently ringing my home phone. It was a freaky thing that even scared the shit out of me.

It doesnt do it enough to just discount it. It will only happen every 3 or 4 days. That just makes it a little freakier...

Or just jerks down the street.

I thought so too at first. But I was standing there tonight. Right in front of it. I'm sure someone is openning their garage door and my door bell just happens to have the same frequency.

But still freaky enough...

yeah, don't stomp on any burning bags left on your doorstep.

Sage advice...

I wish it was some punks down the street...at least that would add a little excitement.

Your battery is low in the unit outside. Same thing happened to me. It would ring about once every two or three days and I would go to the door and nobody would be there.

Open the unit and replace the battery. The battery looks like a regular AAA battery except it is real small. It fixed ours.

That just takes the mystery right out of it. So much for ghost stories.
