Been a thread on it already, BW, but the trailer looks like the movie left the game plot and went off on the death to ticket sales, mutated human plot. Besides, the fear factor of doom was the creepy feel of it. Don't think the Rock is going to be able to recreate the feeling of dread.

I'm in full agreement. The film doesn't need a plot and the game doesn't need a film. Commercialism at its worst: gimme a licence and I'll cream in some lucre, who needs content?

There are parts of the trailer which try to emulate playing the game. I really have no idea how anyone sold this to Hollywood.
