I wish I had it. There was a cafe I used to frequent quite often that had a most mouth-watering version of this sandwich. The cafe is gone.

Give it a try. Get a quality roll, use some smokey mayo, add layers of cheddar, swiss, provolone, any other good cheeses. Add some capers and spices (these are what I wish I knew the cafe used) and pop it, open face, into a toaster oven.
