Well 18 and half months ago I weighed 311 lbs and had a 50 inch waist then about 5 months ago I weighed 211 lbs by hard work dieting and busting my butt. Then I got some good vitamins and upped my protein hoping to increase my strength and lean up, well my waist stayed at a 36 but I gained 19 lbs and wow so many people noticed and said how I was getting more muscular my arms and chest and shoulders especially, Well I have had several several injuries broke each ankle over the years twice each and had femur fracture three years ago all playing softball, Well heres my question I WANT to weigh appx 200 to 205 lbs, what do I have to do,? Decrease my protein intake, decrease the small amount of carb intake I allready take in. I need help and everyone is telling me I look fine and healthy but I want to lose weight to take the poundage off my previous injuries which are always tender. Please Help with suggestions. Thanks and a Happy forth of july to all. Georgia Irish. ps/ I am having to go to a officer school the next eleven weeks and my gym time is going to get cut down some during these elevens weeks. Go to salad only? Oh the officer school is because I am a firefighter if anyone was curious. thanks.Georgia Irish

It may help to know what your current BF is at your 211lb weight.

More info would help but from the sounds of things you are still making good progress with your current diet and so I wouldn't change it. If you are gaining muscle and not gaining any fat the your bf % is going DOWN bro.

Sorry I dont know my body fat, but I was a low of 211 lbs and then after 4 months of vitamins I now weigh 230 lbs and have kept this weight even after the vitamins for 4 weeks now, What I want to do even though I am in lot better shape is take appx 20 lbs off, Everyone tells me then I will be burning some of my muscle off, but Somehow I want to drop my weight, so does that mean cutting back on the protein or going on a keto diet, Help and thanks. Georgia Irish

Don't drop protein. Drop carbs but keep protein and fat high (fat relatively anyway), and keep everything very clean. Do cardio like 3 x a wekk and lift 4-5 times a week. That's my advice.

first of all, how tall are you? if you have a large frame, then maybe your natural weight while training hard and staying muscular is 230. you may want to just purchase some cheap calipers and take some bodyfat measurements. you don't need to know percentages... actual millimeters is enough. that will give us some idea of how much fat you are carrying.

a keto diet is definitely an option. you may lose some muscle, but it doesn't sound like you're overly concerned with that. you will definitely lose water weight and some fat too. i wouldn't cut back on protein. if you need to cut back on total calories, i would take it from carbs first. how much protein are you consuming now?

Your weight doesnt means shit really and people who become obsessed with weight are generally those that diet unhealthily. Get some calipers and figure out what your Body fat % is, thats really all that matters. Who cares how much you weigh if your BF is low?
