Don't do cardio while on DNP

I don't think too many guys do cardio while on DNP.. But for those who do, it is quite counter productive.

Cardio increases the energy demands of muscle cells. When you are on DNP, there is already a substantial energy deficent in muscle cells. Cardio can promote ketone body synthesis which is something to be avoided when on DNP.

In a normal person, when oxygen cannot be delivered to cells fast enough (what happens when you exercise) your means of ATP producion is limited to substrate level phosphorilation where glucose is used. When you are on DNP, your muscle glycogen stores are depleted.. This promotes ketone body synthesis and can even be somewhat dangerous. Incedentally, this also promotes exportation of aminos to the liver to enter gluconeogenesis.

So, cardio while on DNP can lead to muscle loss.

CAN"T DO CARDIO?????????

another reason why i love DNP!!!!!!!!:D :D

Incedentally, IMO resistance training while on DNP is also counter-productive. This too causes an energy demand on the cells.. And this demand cannot be met.

I'm new at this DNP stuff but...

can Creatine help in the ATParea so that you can train while on DNP? Don't laugh, like I said I'm new at the DNP game

Your body's not gonna be able to utilize the creatine with dnp. That's why it's a good idea to supplement with creatine after you are off the dnp.

Thanks for clearing that up!!!

So I guess I'm correct in saying that while on dnp you might as well just eat, sleep, go to work, if you have a job. You most likely won't have any energy to do anything else?

That's right.. When you do resistance training, you're telling your body to adapt, and grow.. You body says "fuck you! I'm doing my best just to hold on to what muscle I have!"

I have never heard that before but thatnks for the info Andy...I am starting DNP soon and planned on doing cardio but now you just did me a HUGE favor lol ;)

so while on DNP, no workout at all, no cardio, nuffin

Just sweat like a mofo

?????????

Obviously there is a difference between working out on 600mg/day and on a low dose.. But, when on DNP, glucose and aminos are not able to enter cells like normal.. You are just putting unnecesary stress on your body.

IS there a feeling one might incur or do you think it is generally a good idea to just not train as well as not do cardio while taking DNP?

YUM

coz while on DNP sometime I do feel weak, but when I eat correctly and stuff .....

I feel I can lift a mountain!

I was thinking of reducing my workout to basic etc...

SHIT NOW YOU TELL ME ,DID A 2 WEEK CYCLE AND DID AT LEAST 35 MIN OF CARDIO EVERY DAY ( DAY OR TWO OFF ) AND THEN TRAINED FOR ANOTHER 3\4 HOUR !!!!
THAT MIGHT EXPLAIN WHY I LASTED ALL OF 2 WEEKS ON 300MG A DAY ? 220 LBS AT THE TIME
JUST RAN OUT OF JUICE ,LOST A LOD OF FAT THOUGH !!
HEMPSTER
PEACE AND LONG LIFE

yeah - depending on the doses i can barely crawl to the bathroom on that crystal crap - arrrrgh, on it now bout to go down to 200mg for awhile.

Thanks andy a good excuse to sit around on my fat behind ;)

Andy, I am on a one month cycle of 200mgs a day. Please tell me it is ok to weight train on such a low dose because I feel totally fina except slightly more sweating when active. Surely going a month without weights will cause muscle loss itself??

Hmmm, I wonder if on these longer cycles it would be beneficial to stop for 2-3 days and work out for those days and then go back to dnp?

Or possibly an eod type of protocol where you work out/cardio on the off days?

I'm sure he's also talking about higher doses. I couldn't take more than one cap and go into work....sweating doesn't go over very well with a shirt & tie.

I don't intend to change my routine at all. So far the DNP has doubled my rate of fat loss and it doesn't seem to matter what I do/don't do. I sure don't have as much energy for aerobics so I do lower-impact instead.

I think so.. It's hard to tell a BBer that he can't workout.. But when you are on DNP, it's very much counter productive.. The dose needed to make fat loss happen is enough to prevent muscle recovery.

Not even AAS or supps can over come this.

I guess this is another reason why I dislike long cycles so much.
