To me losing a pet is the most horrible thing you can face.. it is worse than losing a human companion.. at least to me.

i never understood how people could put their own dog down with a fucking bullet... pay a vet some cash and let the animal go to sleep and pass on.
Doktor Bollix said:I've had two dogs die and it just breaks your heart. It's not the equivalent of losing a primary relative though - parent, sibling, child; that's just a whole pre-conscious mode of grief straight from the Id. Your dog dying is the pain of losing a friend.
Dog's are life's great enthusiasts, they are just enthusiastic mofo's and great for the spirit to have around.

my lab lived till she was 22.. but that is a diffrent dog from the story. Indoor dogs do not live as long. These dogs of mine have alot of land to run on...
I hope your dog lives another 13 years.
dballer said:I live in about 400 acres of land.. I have a Warlock Dobe and a Rotty.. but I plan on getting one of these.. can anyone guess what kind of dog this is??![]()

That's an Old English Mastiff, best home protection dog in the world. I spent two years researching breeders. PM me if you need some kennel names.
Some mastiff breeders breed for intelligence as well as show quality. A dog with light in its eyes is a winner.

I had a Cockapoo (cokcer spaniel/poodle mix) growing up. She was the family dog and we had her for about 13 years, ever since i was a baby. When she died, i could not stop crying, i was 15. And to make matters worse, i just moved to a new state and i had trouble making friends at first so it seemed like my only friend died, and yes, it does hurt, felt like i lost my sister. My dog had breast cancer and she was suffereing so bad, her nipples eventually ruptures and juices started to flow and we had no choice but to put her to sleep at avets office. It was the hardest thing for me, i kissed my dog goodbye with tears in my eyes and my dad took her away from me. I never saw her again after that. She knew that it was her time too i think, cause she came up to me earlier that day and just put her head on my lap as i sat at the stairs and looked at me. I never thought i would get another dog again after that but as time passed, my heart healed and got a boxer, she is wonderful.

on a side note, i have a 2 1/2 year old lab and if you catch me on the right day when she's been particularly destructive alone at the house, i'd let you have herjust kidding maybe
