Dog ate some pot. Now he's trashed.

I left a plate with marijuana shake on my dinner table last night after rolling a blunt...
(G-String Divas was on for an hour last night on HBO, followed by Inside the NFL, cant beat that)

Well, I guess at some point in the middle of the night he got onto the table and ate some of the shake.. he had to jump a couple feet to get onto the table to get it..

Now he's out of commission. He is an italian greyhound and weighs all of 9 pounds wet.. He'll sit there and slowly starts leaning to one side almost until he falls over, then he straightens out again.. We figured out something was wrong when he started crying at about 5am, I guess he woke up and figured out he couldnt move.

At first it was scary, but now its kinda funny.. He wiggles his tail when you talk to him, but he doesnt move otherwise except when hes waving back and forth..

This happened once before, that's how I know its only pot.. only last time I caught him and he didnt get too much.. Im not sure how much he ate this time.. Im at work now, gonna have my girl go home at lunch to make sure hes alright..
 
awww that is cute

greyhounds are cool dogs. when I was in college there was a dogtrack near my school that was shut down.
so many families in the area adopted all of the dogs.

we'd be going on moutain runs and a greyhound would go wizzing past.
fast as hell.
 
hes an italian greyhound, they are the tiny versions of the greyhounds, 12-15 lbs full grown... I figured that such a little shit needed a big name so I named him Rocky..

He is fast as hell, but also sketchy.. One time I dropped his leash (the retractable kind) and it started chasing after him so he took off and didnt stop until he hit a dead end a few blocks away.. once he stopped the leash stopped following him and he chilled out..

he can also jump up into my arms, hes about 1ft tall and Im 6'3".. thats some crazy jumping.
 
greyhounds hunt by sight, and aren't particularly bright.

so if you walk them anywhere near traffic, make sure to have them on a good lead.

they will see a squirrel and take off after it once they lock onto it and they don't know/care about traffic.
 
ya, i read some shit that they can see a squirrel from a mile away... and also think they can catch that same one... so off they go..

i'd be pissed if you got your dog high on purpose, but this is some funny shit... you may want to start calling him havoc...
 
Ive known friends who get their pets high but that has never been my thing.. it probably just gives them migraines..

if he wants a sip of beer Ill let him have it tho..

one time a guy put his ferrets head in the top of a loaded bong and it was hillarious watching it run around after that.. i personally count ferrets low on the pet totem pole anyway.. they're cool in a pet store or if someone else has one, but that's like having a pet rat..
 
my dad's dog *LOVES* Guiness.
I know that dogs are easily susceptible to alcoholism, but I don't think Guiness will hurt him too much.

But if you are pouring a pint of Guiness and you sit down, the dog (a yellow lab) will leap up next to you or on your lap and just stick his nose into your drink and get about half of it down before you know what hit you.
then he just sits next to you with a goofy grin on his face.

my dad pretty much does the same thing too :)

Yeah, dogs are natural alcoholics. That's why they're often used for lab tests, because mice won't touch the shit.
 
I thought uncooked or unlit weed wouldn't get you high. Inotherwords it takes heat or flame to activate the THC. Is that true?
 
no, eating the pot, the thc will take longer to kick in but will get you more fucked up.. it also is more of a body high vs. a mind high..

in high school we used to eat buds on the bus whenever going on a field trip, that way there is no scent and we'd be lit all day..

also, you can make brownies with finely ground pot and brownie mix and that will get you wrecked..
 
Update on the dog:
He is walking around now but still sways with the wind.. lol

My girl tried to give him a cookie but he wouldnt take it.. About 15 minutes later she came back and he had the cookie in his mouth but wouldnt chew it.. You'd think he had the munchies and would be eating everything..

Is the dog stoned in those pics?

I've always wanted to get my dogs high, my girlfriend doesn't like the idea so much. I have four chihuahuas. It would be a laugh riot I think...
