Does your printer work on cd's and dvd's???

There would likely be an add-on tray adapter to load the cd from the front, although I have seen them where the cd goes into a slot in the back.

why not just use some cd label paper and then stick the labels onto the cds...that how i have made copies of my own cd;s and with the right shiny lables and any inkjet printer they come out almost perfect.

There are some newer CD burners that will burn an image on to the back of the CD.

Be careful with adding labels to printers. If it isn't a good fit, bad things happen to unbalanced CDROMS when they are turning at 48x.

Thats why I quit doing it. Took too much time besides but printed cd's would be a nice touch.

Epson has a model 300 designed to print on ink jet printable cd's. At close to $200...mail order.......I'm not sure.

I've bought 3 printers in the past six months and am looking at another large format printer now.

Problem with equipping both a home and a studio. Everything is duplicated. With technology....everything gets replaced every few years.

The 300 is nice...printing on the cd is definitely better than labels, especially for gifts.

What I don't like is the fact that I would have to worry about inkjet printable media in addition to everything else.

I use Mitsui gold cdr's now.....they are the best and they can not be printed upon.

I had a Yamaha burner briefly that would burn a label on a CD...the problem is, it requires unused space. So, if you burn 700MB on a CD, you can't burn a label.

You had to use CD's that would show the burning on the label side...that's about all I remember. I took it back to the store after about a week when I discovered that most of the CD's I burn either wouldn't show the label or would be too full.

I finally got the DVD problem solved by exchanging the burner. Best Buy swapped it out for a newer Memorex...got dual format this time. :D
