In L.A. we look down on people in the 951 & 909 area codes - Riverside, Hemet, . Those are about 2 hrs inland in between L.A. and jack squat. We call it Valley of the Dirt People cuz there ain't shit to do out there but leave.

We got two... 905 and 416.. but they kinda voerlap and shit.. confusing at times
 
In Austin there are no highways that run East - West.
That's cause nobody in West Austin would ever want to go to East Austin.

my buddy lives in calabasas in a multimillion dollar house and that's in 818... i understand the 909 part but 818 has more nice areas than it does shitty. 909 has split into 951 and 909 due to the influx of people buying the cheap track homes they turn out over there.

Not here...there are two primary area codes, and affluence abounds in both......

Now neighborhood/zip code snobbery.....you betcha.

Around here, it's ZIP code snobbery, since 202 covers all of DC, we had to come up with another way to be geographically snobbish
 
We are all rocking the 608 here, but we definitely have neighborhood snobbery. It has gotten pretty bad too, considering my town has adopted an "ethnically diverse" approach to the neighborhoods. Bascially, they don't believe in have a couple low income areas. They sneak them into the high income areas to avoid having "ghettos". The problem is, about 2 years after they put a low income in a high income, all the high income move out and the low income take over forming a "ghetto".

i'm a 519. I used to live in the 416 area, then it got switched to 905. At my sisters house, you have to dial the whole number now just to call down the street. 1-905-967-1111.

It was relaly annonying at first.

Yeah I remember when they first switched over, that was REALLY annoying.. I had to dial area code to call my brother down the road.. grrrr!

And 647 is the worst ever... doesn't even flow nicely or anything.. I have trouble remembering those people's numbers.

I had broadband phone so I have to dial 10 digits to call myself, not that I have anything to say.
 
There are/were a bunch of gang members with 213 tattoed on them, the L.A. area code before it split. Then the are codes split and now some of them live in 310 or 562, I bet they feel dumb.

its a pain in the ASS!! When I came back from spending most of my summer in T.O. I kept dialing the area code here when calling friends.

It must be tough to drunk dial a booty call having to enter all those extra numbers!!!

I wish I had the phone i have now back in my bad boy days, I could just go booty and it would dial the booty call for me when hammered ;)
 
LOL, anyone remember that song by Maestro about Toronto area codes? It was called '416/905' or somethin like that...lol.

No, we just have one area code in my city, but some people prefix snobbery. To me it's just a phone number. :confused:
 
We dont really ever know or use area codes unless we're sending a letter. nobody really has any associations with them.
 
Yeah, here wannabe rappers living on the Island of Montreal (514) will diss those in the 450 (south & north shore).
