does the US have any restrictions on Honduras?

one of my friends has been living there, and she is bitching and moaning that her new found 'love' can't come back to the US because he is from Honduras and they don't allow people there to get visas to come here...

i as like...uhh...something doesn't sound right. i havent heard of their being any travel restrictions to and from honduras. not to mention, this country is more than happy to let anyone and their fucking brother come in.

i'm thinking this guy can't get a visa, because knowing her, she probably fell in 'love' with some revolutionary or some guerilla fighter that has his list on some database somewhere, which is why he can't get a visa.

From what I hear it's an all around issue. I know a Canadian who is applying for permanent resident status and her attorney told her to not go home because they probably wouldn't let her back in the country and she already has valid paperwork. The local university students on student visas aren't going home for the very same reason.

He can get a Fiancé Visa if she is going to marry him and it takes a coupple months to et to the USA. But a tourist Visa will be almost impossible to get.
