Does Tanning Age You Or Cuase Harm?

A friend of mine said that tanning year round can age a person and that its real bad on the skin and crap like that,i wanted to startt tanning,what are your guys opinion?

It definitely is harmful to the skin and will eventually cause wrinkles and all that good stuff. After you go make sure to use a good aloe vera lotion which will help.

Uva and Uvb can reek havoc on skin. Turning it to leather and wrinkle prematurely. So are blessed with more pigmentation of the skin and hence better protection fron the effects. But in th end it gets everyone. Avoid peek times of the day and use strong 25+ screens. U will stil tan but slower and safer. I learned this VERY WELL in Panama where a 45 felt like a 4.

I've used thier stuff for about 2 years. No streaks, great color, doesn't stain clothes...

Some tanning places have new spray tans. They work pretty good just cant shower for a couple hours after. They stay looking good for a week or two.

it's all about moderation, and use your common sense...you can actually benefit from periodic tanning which in some cases can actually prevent cancer...I know you people will jump on me for saying this because we all know it can cause cancer as well...BUT...like I said use common sense...you could anal and say "well water could make you drowned..."

It never ceases to amaze me that the women who are most preoccupied with their physical appearance flock to tanning salons. Either they are stupid or ignorant, but the fact remains that UV radiation will indeed prematurely age the skin. How hot do you think these girls will be when they have a wrinkley, spotted bronze leather hide. Then there is the added bonus of skin cancer which will not rear its ugly head until long after the aesthetic damage is done. Food for thought - I work in a hospital and have never met a dermatologist with a sun tan....
