Does milk inhibit protien absorption or not?

I have only seen speculation on this and would like to see or hear some concrete evidence either way.

Read my sticky post above on protein sources...Milk is loaded with casein, which will SLOW absorbtion of amino's,but this isn't necessarily a bad thing from an anti-catabolic standpoint,in fact it is quite beneficial when combined with rapidly oxidized whey protein...

Maybe I'm missing what you are asking, but no, milk doesn't hamper protein absorbtion. It is actually an excellent source of casein protein. Casein is 70-80 percent bioavailable as opposed to the +/- 90 percent bioavailability of whey. However, it degrades over about a 5hour window as opposed to two. Some people feel that the lactose causes them to hold water, but I don't have that problem with it. I love milk and it is a staple of my protein intake.
