haha im not sure, probably just because it offends so many people.... like i always am saying things and testing limits just to try and be offensive, and its so funny to see society so fixated on the seriousness of a topic like the haulocaust, and it makes me laugh.

its sort of like racist jokes, they make me laugh, i love to tell them and hear them, and same with rape jokes...watching people get offended and disgusted makes me laugh.

haha like the southpark episode when cartman fed the kid his own parents at the chili contest...if i read that shit actually happend in the paper id frame it on my wall and laugh at it every morning

If you laugh at them solely because of the issues relating to bad things happened because they were jewish then yes that could be construed as racist. If you laugh because of societal issues and peoples moral stance then nope not at all racist. Unless of course you justify it with "Those silly kike bastards deserved it" or something unappropriate like that.

(yes I know there are non white jews.. but the vast najority are white)

I love the term racist... just a blanket statement applied to anyone with a non PC opinion in regards to race/sexuality or religion.

let's not get caught up in sematics...regardless if it is racist or not it is pretty shitty to laugh at the holacaust...not really funny, and i'm sure you agree
 
nothing too funny about the holocaust.. although I find it humorous they use it every chance they get to instill guilt in anyone who disagrees with their point of view on culture or race. EVERYONE who disagrees is somehow a Nazi.. yes that part is funny.

but a racist and an anti semite are VERY different breeds. Of course pigeon-holing everyone who doesnt have PC views makes life much easier for the simple minded liberal in all of us.

But then again, Im neither simple minded or liberal.

Jews have been persecuted by EVERY host nation they have inhabited for the last 2000 years. (excpet of course Isreal). In the 1950's most Americans did not like jews and woudlnt do business with them knowingly.. it wasnt until the 60's and very thorough indoctrination in the college systems did that start changing.


But every one of you ask yourselves this...

Why has every host nation persecuted them? Is every nation they inhabited looking for an easy scapegoat? Is every member of every nation a "racist" or "anti semite"?

Or is there something else? Something to think about.

in reffering to the jews...this word def. leads back the the traditonal slander of considering jews parasites...furthermore, fairly weak attempt to rationalize pogroms and such "everyone else has done it, it must be their fault"

I wouldnt laugh at the haulocost, but at the same time, I think I hear about it way too much when I dont really need to or care to hear about it. If that makes me racist then I'm guilty and am a racist. I just think that what's done is done. Once and a while, sure, pay respect to history, but otherwise, dont talk about it

Well...perhaps if you actually had a concentration camp number branded into your arm, you may feel the need to talk about it every so often. I have talked to some of them, and it made for a very sobering experience. I agree with Gambino.
 
I use the word host because the vast majority of the time.. Jews refers to themselves first as jew.. and then maybe reference the nation they live in.

the vast majority of the jews Ive met refers to themseleves as "Jewish Doctors" or"Jewish lawyers" not simply as a doctor or lawyer..

Ive met many who dont say they are American.. they are a "jewish".. American for them is simply an afterthought.

Im simply echoing their desires not mine. Im sure there are some out there who dont feel that way.. but I havnt met too many.

Amazing to me you peeps run into so many Jews who can't seem to stop talking about the Holocaust, being a Jew, and surrounded by many, I can't recall the subject ever coming up, except perhaps in Sunday School. Weird.


Most survivors I have met, prefer not to talk about it.

Furthermore, I haven't met a Jew (who resides in this great country) who refers to themself as Jew first, American second. I can't tell you which gives me more pride, and it's really not a contest........but being a Jew, and a family with a strong military background, I can tell you they are both very, very, important to me.

Hmmmm, i'd have to say the jury has spoken. As for myself, I don't care, free speech is free speech. BUT, sometimes can make you sound like a doof no matter if it's in good humor or not.
