Does HCG sometimes increase your chance of gyno?

Back in 97/98 when I discovered this board I was told to use clomid and HCG. I used the clomid but didn't bother with the HCG because I was confused with all the vials. I planned to save them for another cycle. When I posted my next cycle a year latter a lot of respected people on the board and at my gym said it might increase your chances of gyno so I saved the vials. Now it seems like a lot more people are using HCG. Is HCG safe to use or is their something to the above statement. It seems like the more I research post cycle therapy the more confused I become. I know a lot of people feel it is safe to use but I was wondering if anybody on the board thought it might increase your chances of getting gyno.

Thanks

Jabs

There is no question. People use HCG, but you need an anti-E. I did a cycle back in '92 that consisted of d-bol, parabolan, deca, and NO anti-Es. (Anti-Es weren't available very much back then. Neither was the internet.) Post cycle I took HCG and got a bad case of gyno. I ordered Nolvadex from a foreign mail-order pharmacy and it went away. But the offender was HCG. It was only later that I read that HCG is very likely to cause gyno because of an increase in estrogen that accompanies the surge in testosterone. Take it with Nolvadex.

It is best to start nolva a day or two BEFORE your HCG treatment and run it a day or two after you stop the HCG.

That way, the nolva will bind with the receptor and the HCG won't effect the breast tissues.

Better safe than sorry.

Also it seems that the newest trend to help prevent gyno while still using HCG effectively is to run a dose of 500iu/ED for 2 weeks rather than running 1kiu - 2500iu all at once. And yes take Nolva with it 20mg-40mg/ED.

should nt you be running nolva at small amounts through your cycle instead of just at the time you are running Hcg. Someone had told me on the board to run .25mg of Arimidex( I perfer this over nolva) ed during my cycle to reduce risks of gyno. Does anyone think this is a bad idea or should you just run it during Hcg? what about during clomid?

Just because you run some Arimidex doesn't mean you can't or won't get gyno. Have Nolvadex on hand and run the Arimidex throughout.
