If gear can put you in a wellness state of mind like so many report, and there is always the roid rage reported also, I figure this is brain related. I wanted to know if gear affected other cognitive functions like concentration or memory, sharpness, etc.pstate said:thats a pretty deep question bro, besides screwing with your hormones, im not sure how else it would effect your brain
I just wanted to make sure it didnt cause anything bad to the brain, notwithstanding the temporary harmone fluctuations.pstate said:The "wellness" is just caused by the extra levels of testosterone in your body, which can make you feel good, like i said, besides steriods making your hormones fluctauate, which can affect mood and other stuff, im dont see how it would affect memory..someone else chime in

krishna said:Your brain has a lot more functions than just memory bro. Mood is one function of the brain which has already been stated to be affected by steroids. Yes, there is no doubt that steroids can affect brain function in a number of ways.
if you get depression on cycle, just take some selegiline 5 mg 2x a day. Raises dopamine in the brain and creates a feeling of well being.mobro said:i think it caused depression and ADD. or vice versa

i feel great ON usually. have been off a while, not by choice. don't think i had this before A_S_S. i will check out selegiline though bro. thanksnoclue9415 said:if you get depression on cycle, just take some selegiline 5 mg 2x a day. could it be that i stayed suppressed because of bad or no p_c_t and the low levels of T_ are causing depression? i have since ran a p-c-t but I remained on adderall so i can't tell the diff.Bourget said:There have been clinical studies that link low test levels to memory loss and other cognitive brain functions. Only in males If I remember correctly. I remember reading about this when I began researching before I became a "user".
You sound like my pothead friend when he tries to justify his weed habit.Big_Joe said:I don't have any studies to back this up but testosterone allways makes me sharper. When I am on test my math skills are sharper and also my reaction times are better.

musclemom said:I can tell you for a fact that test improves mood because before going on HRT my husband was about to be prescribed crap for depression. When his levels are low, he's low, wants to sleep all the time, has trouble making decisions, etc. When his levels are normal/up he feels good, feels like doing things (he also may be a little more short tempered occasionally, but nothing critical).
i hope you are right mm. that is exactly what i do. i feel like shit, want to sleep, can't make a decission for nothin, depressed. did a short test, low dose, cycle(500 ew) for 6 weeks and felt a lot better. now that i have been off, i cant make it w/o adderall. and sometimes i can't with it. start up test again in about 2-3 days though. i will keep you guys posted. you gave me a little hope.musclemom said:I can tell you for a fact that test improves mood because before going on HRT my husband was about to be prescribed crap for depression.
