Does Finasteride inhibit gains

Probably not to any noticeable degree. Theoretically, it inhibits the conversion of testosterone to dht. Dht is many times more anabolic than testosterone. However, I've been using 1mg/day finasteride for 3+ years now, and it hasn't hindered my gains......to any noticeable degree that is.

Not really LOL. It has helped slow it down, that's about all. I have thinning in the front of my head, and propecia doesn't help with that. I'm sure if I stopped, a ton of hair would fall out though.

No, but I just got a script for Nizoral 2%. My MPB is not that bad really, so using topicals isn't really that appealing......yet

I think you need to be concerned bro, especially since you still do cycles. The topical stuff Xandrox isn't bad at all. Bill Roberts from Meso-rx.com has used it with good results. AND minoxidil.com now has 5% Spironolactone that doesn't stink. These products are very strong DHT inihibitors at the scalp.

This might be interesting bro's to read about finasteride. I was reading a article about a guy who had prostate cancer. He was a former BB and as he was having surgery, the doc told the nurse that was in there, if he was using finasteride he wouldnt be here right now. the doc new he was using gear and said that is what caused it, the former bb was around 25. i dont know if this is true or not but if it is i will give a try to prevent prostate cancer.

Dude, that dude was me....I am that nurse.....and the poor sap was 27years old.

There is some controversy about DHT and its affect on the prostate BUT most research still points to high DHT as a CAUSE of prostate cancer and not just something that makes it worse once you've got it.

Finasteride doesn't inhibit DHT at the scalp, it gets rid of DHT systemically, and thus there is less DHT to go to the scalp.....once it is in the scalp you're fucked and have to use a DHT inhibitor topically.

Finasteride directly inhibits DHT at the prostate quite well and it has been used for years in the treatment of benign prostate hypertrophy( which can convert to cancer by the way)

The dudes that think DHT is no bid deal at the prostate need to ask a urologist WHY THE F... HE GIVES FINASTERIDE TO TREAT HYPERTROPHY OF THE PROSTATE!

I knew i read it somewhere, i feel stupid now...lol, i think all the studying is getting to me. Only 2 more test, thank God!!!
