Does Creatine REALLY work?

I posted something in the weightlifting forum about me making a stupid bet to bench 315 by the end of May. The only supplements I take now are:

Protein Powder, Centrum-B multivitamin, Magnesium.

I have always read Creatine increases size and strength but then I also read conflicting stories that it has more of a placebo effect.

Can anyone here really attest that it works? If so, who makes the best stuff and when do u typically take it?
 
PureCEE has worked well for me....If not big gains or anything, it seems to help with recovery time and makes sure I dont get sore. I also dont seem to fatigue as quickly leter in my sets. Seems to help keep my lifts the same when im cutting also, so I dont loose strength.

It's just creatine monohydrate, brand doesnt matter... monohydrate is monohydrate, no differences.
