Does Caffeine free diet soda dehydrate you?

YES!

All soft drinks use carbonic acid, not water.

Your body converts this to carbon dioxide and water. That takes water out of your system.

Caffeene has nothing to do with it.

Carbonic acid?

Okay I'm not the expert here, but carbonated water is the base of the drink. While this carbonic acid may be present, water, although corbonated, is still the base. Just curious as to where you got your info from as well. I'm not flaming your reply, just after more info.

"Carbonated water" is Carbonic Acid. AKA Soda Water.

Nobody would drink the stuff if the main ingredient was "acid."
