You can send video online or just pics with a digital camera? I have a Sony with Bluetooth but never used that option.

What is it that you want to do?

Bluetooth is a type of wireless chipset that allows different components to talk to each other without needing to be physically connected by cables.

They can be up to 30ft away (it might be 50ft, I can't recall off the top of my head).

It isn't anything magic - if you could connect the devices together via a cable and do it, then you could do it the same with the Bluetooth - just no wires.

So whatever it is that you are trying to do, think to yourself "could I do this if I had the right cables?" and if the answer is yes - then if both devices that you want to get jiggy with have Bluetooth, then it is definitely very likely that they can do it.

word.

^ kinda like wifi... shorter range faster

OH OK OMG It`s my digital camera that takes pictures and video. I was`nt really planning on using it. I`ve had it for a year and still have`nt used that function (bluetooth) I only take pics and put them on my computer through a USB... Actually through my printer now. I just stick the memory stick in there and upload pics.

I thought I could actually send a pic from my camera to an Email or something. I understand what the deal is now, Just eliminate the wires.

For instance, my new laptop has Bluetooth built in. There is a phone that I want (SE T616) that has Bluetooth built in as well.

Because of that, I can upload all of my contacts on my computer up to the phone. The phone is a picture phones, so I can take pics and send them over to the computer.
I can use the phone to control the iTunes on my laptop like a remote control from around my apartment - and it will send the song info to my phone screen so that I can see what song it is, etc.
I can also then use the phone as a modem and get a net connection with it.

All of those are things that you could do with wires before - but now they are all things that are wireless.
Wireless essentially means less of a hassle in terms of things to hook up, and also increased distance at which you can do it.

There is also a new game with those phones to send messages that way to other phones - the phone basically scans the area around it to see if there is an open Bluetooth device that is configured to accept messages and then you can talk to it via certain ways.
